Program Management Office (PMO) and Governance

The Program Management Office is established to:

• Monitor compliance with established program standards and recommend corrective actions as needed
• Coordinate the Program’s projects with each other and with related initiatives in the areas of knowledge sharing, issue resolution and work plan synchronization
• Provide overall control and coordination of program performance, progress, and quality

The PMO is the oversight and synchronization of multiple related projects or initiatives with a goal of managing project risk and controlling costs. It is a set of tools, technologies, and standards which enable the project management process. It assists in reducing the risk of project failures and increasing the ability to realize implementation goals.
